The Mining Shared Value team will be at the big Investing in African Mining Indaba in Cape Town promoting local procurement by the global mining industry as a means to improve the development impacts of mineral extraction for host countries. Specifically MSV will launch its report on local content regulations in South Africa and Namibia in partnership with the Canadian International Resources and Development Institute (CIRDI), and promote the Mining Local Procurement Reporting Initiative being finalized this spring.
