Global Conference on Reconciling Trade and Local Content Development


The Global Conference on Reconciling Trade and Local Content Development, organized by the World Bank and the Secretary of the Economy for Mexico, will bring together delegates to learn and discuss economic development policy, local content initiatives and private sector approaches to supply chain development in local community settings.

As conference participants, Mining Shared Value will join with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH to present their new collaborative initiative to support the creation of a measurement and reporting standard for local procurement in the mining industry.

Venture leader Jeff Geipel and Research Coordinator Anthea Darychuk will discuss their work with participants from industry, government and civil society and build partnerships for the initiative moving forward.
