Investing in African Mining Indaba, held in Cape Town, South Africa, is an annual professional conference dedicated to the capitalization and development of mining interests in Africa. It is currently the world's largest mining investment event and Africa's largest mining event. 

Mining Shared Value will be presenting about our new initiative in partnership with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH to develop a reporting standard for local procurement in mining, as well as results from other projects including our work with the Canadian International Resources and Development Institute (CIRDI) on how comprehensive local procurement regulatory frameworks can motivate mining companies to increase their local purchasing.
